Terroir Park Slope Is Oh So Close

Signage is up at 284 5th Ave in Park Slope, home to the fifth outpost of Terroir, chef Marco Canora and sommelier Paul Grieco's wine bar.  The space is ready for business, but still waiting on its liquor license.  It should come early next week and then the (Rhein) coast is clear.

Hours of operation and menus are taped to the front window.  The menu has a little something for everyone in the form of "Little Bar Snacks," "Fried Stuff," "The Best Panini In All Of Brooklyn," Charcuterie, Cheese, "The Sweet of Sweets," Bruschetta, Salads, and "Cool Stuff That You Must Eat."  Click ahead for a look around the slick interior.

Terroir Park Slope Coming Soon, Very Soon

Marco Canora's veal meatballs and Paul Grieco's rieslings will be in Brooklyn soon.  Terroir Park Slope is "Opening soon...like really soon!"  The grey plywood that was covering the facade has been taken down and reveals a couple of sleek glass windows and a big glass door.

Signs on the windows pay homage to Great Lakes, the former dive bar at 284 5th Ave that had "super cheap beers" and "super smel of stale cigarettes."

Here's a sneak at the progress being made inside the place.  Exposed brick and rafters that made Great Lakes so cozy have been cleaned up a bit and will give Terroir Park Slope that classy, rustic vibe-a-rino.  This is going to be a great place to go for a glass of blaufrankisch in the middle of winter.

Pork Slope Preview Party

Pork Slope is the highly anticipated bar/restaurant from Dale Talde, David Massoni, and John Bush. The trio got together and opened Talde in Park Slope back in January. The restaurant was one month old when the triumvirate announced they were taking the former Aunt Suzie's space on 5th Ave between Garfield and Carroll a few blocks away. The time has come. Pork Slope is opening this Saturday. Dale Talde and co threw a little shin dig last night to show off their goods and Digest NY got an invite. Now we have some pictures and a hangover we'd like to share.

Signage Up At Pork Slope

Last week, Digest NY introduced Triple Play to bring continued coverage on the development of Calexico, Terroir, and Pork Slope; all opening within the same two blocks on 5th Avenue in Park Slope.  Today's update is to reveal the signage up at Pork Slope, set to open two weeks from tomorrow on August 18th.

Another new sign up on the front door encourages job seekers to "Inquire Within."  This could be done through a propped open front door.  Digest NY knocked and got a peak but construction workers were reluctant to permit photos without consent from the owner's, who weren't there at the time.

We'll head back soon.  Stay tuned.
